The 12th annual Art Around Adams is a two-mile Art Walk presented by The InSlider SD. It takes place along the 2.5 miles of Adams Avenue on Saturday, June 6th 2015.

Taste of Adams Avenue 2015

The 15th annual Taste of Adams Avenue will take place Sunday, June 28, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, along Adams Avenue from University Heights through Normal Heights to Kensington. This gastronomic trek will feature over 30 restaurants, coffee houses, pubs, wine bars and unique eateries in one of San Diego’s hottest and historic neighborhoods.
Food lovers can access their favorite restaurants by foot, bike, or by complimentary trolley service available along Adams Avenue. In addition to this adventurous tasting tour, attendees can also experience the neighborhoods many distinctive shops along the Adams Avenue business corridor.

Summer Movies in the Park

The Normal Heights United Methodist Church and the Normal Heights Community Association have teamed up with Adams Avenue Park & Rec to bring you movies in the park all summer long. This is a great opportunity to get out, join your neighbors, enjoy your local parks and have a fun evening under the stars.
In June they are bringing you Big Hero 6on June 6th at Adams Park, and on June 27th at Ward Canyon Park they will show Hotel for Dogs.

AABA Mural Policy

The AABA has a new policy to encourage business owners to commission murals for their buildings. The Business Association will subsidize up to four (4) murals per year, at a cost of 30% not to exceed $500 per mural.  If you are interested in taking advantage of this opportunity please contact the office by emailing [email protected].

Home Start Thrift Boutique

The new thrift boutique at 3611 Adams Ave is a non-profit whose mission is to assure the safety and resiliency of children by strengthening families and their communities. Volunteers are needed for various roles at our brand-new thrift boutique. Opportunities include sorting donated merchandise, working the sales floor, and working with management to create marketing and promotional material.
