Kimi’s Day on Adams Avenue
Please join us on Saturday, December 19th in supporting one awesome and brave local hero, Kimi Schroder.
Kimi Schroder is a very special and brave resident of Normal Heights. At just 9 years old, she has been fighting neuroblastoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer. Anyone that has the pleasure of knowing Kimi knows that in spite of this disease, she remains a vibrant, joyful, and giving girl with a passion for life and a love for helping others. For the last five years Kimi and her family have been battling her cancer with many ups and downs.
This has been such a difficult time for the Schroder family, so we are creating Kimi’s Day on Adams to help the Schroder family and show them the amazing support and compassion of their Normal Heights neighbors.
Ways that you can help us help the Schroder family: 1. Mark your calendar for Saturday, December 19th and participate by donating a portion of your shop sales of a particular item or service offered by your business throughout the day. 2. Collect donations at your business on Saturday, December 19th. 3. Donate a gift certificate or item from your business to the auction that will be held on Kimi’s Day. 4. Spread the word on social media, to help us reach more neighbors and businesses that will hopefully participate and become involved. This event is to show Kimi and her family that our awesome neighborhood cares and supports them. One hundred percent of all donations will go directly to Kimi’s family to help them with Kimi’s medical and travel expenses. We are appreciative of any participation, whether it be raising money at your business, volunteering to provide entertainment or a service at the event, or by helping us spread the word and visiting with local participating businesses that day. Please contact Lisa Altmann at [email protected] for further information and to confirm participation as we will be making a promotional flyer for participating businesses.
