AABA awards SDPD Community Officer Jenny Hall

At the April 3rd Board meeting the Adams Avenue Business Association, President Mikey Knab presented SDPD Officer Jenny Hall with a Certificate of Appreciation for her dedicated work in Normal Heights and the surrounding communities.

The AABA thanks Officer Hall and the SDPD for helping to keep our neighborhoods a safe place to live, work and play!

Bike Sharing: Attitude & Etiquette

Bike Sharing is here to stay. The AABA would like to encourage all residents and businesses to work together to allow this social and environmental project to become successful.

As business owners in the area who might find the barrage of bikes near their businesses an annoyance or inconvenience, we ask that you take the time to recognize the importance of alternative transportation modes that can help the environment by reducing our carbon footprints. Bikes can be good for business too! Give a moment of your time to straighten strewn bikes or clear the right-of-way if blocked, where pedestrians or those handicapped might be affected.

For users of this new dockless bike sharing system, LimeBike has introduced a Public Service Announcement to educate riders and reduce complaints. Take time to improve your role by watching the PSA below and following the rider rules as posted in your bike sharing app.
