Unplugged is April 27, 2019, 12:00 – 10:00 PM so mark your calendar! This FREE 2.5 mile musical walk-about features 80+ musical acts in 24 Adams Avenue bars, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses. Along the way visit a beer garden and food court. Free trolley! This year’s Unplugged headliner concert series feature performances by guitar virtuoso David Lindley and Guatemalan singer-songwriter and guitarist, Gaby Moreno at the Normal Heights Methodist Church. The Headliner concert series is a paid ticketed event. Musicians schedule and other details coming soon!


The 19th Annual Taste of Adams Avenue is Sunday, June 30, 2019 from 11-3 pm! With new openings, the AABA is expecting more than 50 restaurants, coffeehouses, breweries, wine bars, and one-of-a-kind eateries along the Adams Avenue business district to participate.


The AABA held its Annual Breakfast meeting and 2019 Board elections on January 29th in the new event patio of The Ould Sod. It was a warm and welcoming setting where everyone was treated to a delicious breakfast catered by Hanna’s Gourmet with fresh fruit platters provided by Senor Mangos and coffee from Lestats. Over 100 attendees socialized with neighboring business and property owners and heard from AABA President Mikey Knab, City Council President Georgette Gomez, Councilmember Chris Ward and County Treasurer/Tax Collector Dan McAllister.


The San Diego Small Business Collaborative Loan program is now available!
Need a small business loan? The AABA is marketing a new loan program in conjunction with the City of San Diego, CDC Small Business Finance Corporation and HUD. The San Diego Small Business Collaborative Loan program is available to businesses in (or in close proximity to) the Adams Avenue business corridor. 50,000-$300,000 loan amounts with 5% fixed interest, up to 10yr amortization and no prepayment penalty. Obtain working capital for job retention or creation, capital equipment or business expansion and other uses. Available to start-up ventures. Easy one-page application to start the process. Upcoming Projects:
Preparation has begun to add a fresh coat of paint to the antique acorn lamp posts and trash cans that line Adams Avenue and 30th Street. Adams Avenue is going to get even better looking…if that’s possible!


Street Fair Vendor Applications are now open for the 38th Annual Adams Avenue Street Fair scheduled for September 21 & 22, 2019. This celebrated event draws over 100,000 people over the two days with offerings of free music, festival food, vendors, beer gardens and carnival rides.
