San Diego’s Open Street Event promotes active living and healthy communities by temporarily closing streets (Adams Avenue) to cars. The community can enjoy fun physical activities like walking, jogging, biking and dancing. Live music at the intersections of Hamilton & Adams, 30th & Adams, Felton & Adams, 35th & Adams, Marlborough & Adams, and 44th & El Cajon Blvd with performances from Israel Maldonado, Kahlil Nash, Jonny Tarr Quartet, Mochilero All Stars, Euphoria Brass Quintet and El Conjunto Nueva Ola. The event is sponsored by the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition , the AABA and other community organizations.

The San Diego Small Business Collaborative Loan Program
Need a small business loan? The AABA is marketing a new loan program in conjunction with the City of San Diego, CDC Small Business Finance Corporation and HUD. The San Diego Small Business Collaborative Loan program is available to businesses in (or in close proximity to) the Adams Avenue business corridor. 50,000-$300,000 loan amounts with 5% fixed interest, up to 10yr amortization and no prepayment penalty. Obtain working capital for job retention or creation, capital equipment or business expansion and other uses. Available to start-up ventures. Easy one-page application to start the process.
