Green Bin Exemption

Dear AABA Members,
The City now has a process in-place to request exemptions to the Organic Waste Recycling Program. If you believe your location does not generate substantial quantities of organic waste please see information below from the Environmental Services Department (ESD) for requesting a waiver related to the new Organic Waste Recycling Program.
A De Minimis Waiver (Minimal Generation Waiver) may be granted if:
  1. The commercial business’ total solid waste collection service is two (2) cubic yards or more per week and organic waste comprises less than 20-gallons per week; or,
  2. The commercial business’ total solid waste collection service is less than two (2) cubic yards per week and organic waste comprises less than 10-gallons per week.
If a business would like to be considered for a De Minimis Waiver and fit one of the two thresholds listed above, they can now request a waiver online: https://recycl.ist/RcGWPh.
